Thank you for considering a commission! Please review the steps outlined below; contact me with details regarding your request and any questions about the commission process.
REQUEST
Include the following in your initial request by email to dani@danischafer.com:
- Titles/images/links of my work that are of the style you are seeking, and any desired colors (Pantone color, fabric/paint swatches, Pinterest boards, clippings, etc.)
- Estimated dimensions and orientation, if applicable (portrait or landscape)
- Support (birch panel, canvas, paper, etc.)
PROCESS
Upon receipt of your request, I will be in touch with any questions and specifics I require to begin your project (more images, etc.). I request 50% payment upon agreement, with the remainder due upon completion and shipment/delivery/pick-up (credit card payments accepted through my site, PayPal and check available by request or in-person).*
Upon receipt of deposit, I will work on your piece for 1-8 weeks and send images for review throughout the process. In-studio viewings can be scheduled, if desired (work may continue past this time frame, if needed/requested). However, if for some reason, the piece does not work out as desired, the original deposit can be used as credit towards an available, completed work.
PRICING
Commissions are priced higher than non-commissioned works due to the process involved. Final pricing* including shipping estimate (if applicable), will be agreed upon prior to invoicing/deposit.
Oversized works may require crating/freighting, canvases over 48" will be shipped rolled. Local pick-up and delivery is available. See Policies and Shipping for details on shipping/pick-up/delivery.
Commissioned works are final sale and cannot be returned. If your work is damaged in shipment please contact me as soon as possible.
*WI residents will be charged sales tax of 5.5%
